Project Highlights

To improve operational safety and align with FAA standards, our team rebuilt the airport runway in the coastal village of Point Hope. With the new alignment and supporting infrastructure, this upgrade improves safety and long-term serviceability in a high-wind, Arctic environment.

  • Constructed a new paved runway realigned 13.4 degrees east from the original.
  • Repaved apron and rebuilt associated taxiways to match the new configuration.
  • Installed precision approach path indicators; upgraded lighting, markings, and signage; and a new segmented circle for safe and efficient operations.
  • Demolished old runway and electrical systems and replaced the electrical equipment building.
  • Improved navigation, safety, and performance for remote aviation.
