Project Highlights
Located in a remote area that relies on seasonal barge transport, Selawik required a major upgrade to its critical barge landing infrastructure. Our team led a comprehensive construction effort to enhance access, improve safety, and support the delivery of essential goods and services in this Arctic village.
- Imported and placed 10 million cubic yards of aggregate for a new barge landing pad.
- Installed over 6,000 linear feet of boardwalk using 1.8 million pounds of lumber and hardware.
- Upgraded site lighting to increase visibility, functionality, and safety.
- Demolished and replaced overhead power and communication lines to ensure reliable service to the area.
- Performed riverbank revegetation to protect against erosion and enhance site resilience.
